NORTHPAC, the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry’s political action committee for the northern region, announced the endorsement of Keith Gates, a candidate running against incumbent Foster Campbell for the Public Service Commission in the fifth district.
In NORTHPAC’s endorsement of Keith Gates, NORTHPAC Chair Mike Wolff said, “The activities of the Louisiana Public Service Commission are important to business and industry in our state. The NORTHPAC Board supports Keith Gates and believes he shares the values and philosophy of the business community.“
“We know Keith will bring more stability to the PSC,” added Brian Landry, executive director of NORTHPAC. “This is a large district with diversified industries and we are confident Gates will represent all of the district’s varied business interests.”
Born in Natchitoches, Keith Gates currently practices law in Winnfield. He attended Northwestern State University and the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in Baton Rouge where he received both a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Civil Law degree.
Gates said, “For as long as I can remember, the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) has been on the forefront, working with local officials, store owners, and citizens to strengthen our economy. Therefore, it is an honor to have LABI’s NORTHPAC endorsement in my bid to become the next Public Service Commissioner. As a lifelong conservative and small business owner, I pledge to fight on behalf of our families and small business owners for lower rates, better service, and less regulations so that our area can thrive for generations to come.”
