Baton Rouge, La. – NORTHPAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), today announced early endorsements for the 2015 fall elections, specifically the endorsement of John Stephens (Republican, District 22).
“Since its formation more than 25 years ago, NORTHPAC has helped to elect state and local candidates who support job growth policies and economic development in Louisiana,” said Terry Baugh, chair of NORTHPAC.
John Stephens is a long-time resident of house district 22 and manages a small farm and runs two small businesses. Stephens and his wife also operate a retail store in Jena, La. John has been married to Sheila Myles Stephens for 24 years and they have two sons, John II and Zack. He is a lifetime member and deacon of Whitehall Pentecostal Church.
“John Stephens is what the business community looks for in a candidate. He started his successful contracting business with just a screwdriver and an old truck. That’s just the type of hardworking self-starter we need at the legislature. ” “said NORTHPAC executive director Brian Landry. “We encourage the broader business community to support John Stephens in his bid for house district 22.”
