NORTHPAC Endorses Michael Echols for House District 14

NORTHPAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), today announced their endorsement of Michael Echols for State Representative, House District 14.
 
“Since its formation more than 25 years ago, NORTHPAC has helped to elect state and local candidates who support job growth policies and economic development in Louisiana,” said NORTHPAC Chairman Terry Baugh. “We believe that Michael Echols is the best candidate to lead district 14.”
 
“We encourage the business community to support Michael in his election this fall,” said Bo Staples, Executive Director of NORTHPAC. “This is a critical election cycle for Louisiana, and the business community must support candidates who will work to better the business climate in the state. Michael Echols has a proven commitment to pro-growth policies, and we’re excited to support his candidacy.”
 
A Bastrop native, Michael Echols obtained a B.S. in Accounting, as well as a Masters of Business Administration, from ULM. Michael is a Ouachita Parish businessman, serving as the Director of Business Development for Affinity Health Group and Vantage Health Plan of Monroe. A licensed commercial contractor, Echols and his wife, architect Christie Jones Echols, have redeveloped 13 commercial historic properties in Downtown Monroe. The current Monroe City Councilman for District 1, Echols has served as the Council Chairman. Echols is Past President of the Monroe Rotary and Past President of Monroe Kiwanis, Past President of Downtown Monroe Renaissance, Past President of the Louisiana Arts Council, Past President of the LA Trust for Historic Preservation and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Association of Health Plans, and numerous other leadership positions in local civic and philanthropic organizations.
